The Sonoran Desert Flyers, inc. AMA charted radio control model flying club is hosting the Boy Scouts of Troop 270 of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Saturday, October 15, 2011 . This event will be at the r/c club's Naranja Park flying field, 660 W. Naranja Drive and will start at 8 am.

There will be club instructors and club trainer planes available as well as flight simulators. The Boy Scouts will be briefed on the theory of flight as well as safe operation of electric powered model aircraft , try out their moves on a flight simulator and then will fly the club's trainer with instructors assisting them through the use of inter connected controls ( buddy boxes).

The club members will be entertaining the Scouts and guests in between training times with electric powered plane and helicopter flying exhibitions.

Complimentary drinks and snacks will be available and Scout parents are welcome as well as the public, as always. Parking is available, please observe the signs.
