An interim field has been found! Bob Schumann has been working with Oro Valley Parks & Recreation, since January 2007. He has been assisted by Kevin Houser, Bill Melcher, Jim Morris and many others. On July 16, 2008, the town of Oro Valley relaxed restrictions on flying model airplanes in public parks, potentially allowing the Sonoran Desert Flyers to fly on land that had been purchased for future park development.

Here is an aerial view of our new field as seen by Bush Pilot Bob.

It isn't the bushes, but BP Bob's up to his knees in this landing.
